On September 26, 2023, with the departure of the bottom mounted wind power installation vessel “Tiejian Qian 01” from the dock of Guangxi Nanyang Shipyard, the anchor tension test was successfully completed. At this point, the upgrade and renovation work of the anchor machine for the “Tiejian Qian 01” bottom mounted wind power installation vessel of China Railway Construction Port and Navigation Bureau New Energy Branch was successfully completed.
The purpose of this anchor modification is to ensure ship safety and improve ship efficiency. The maximum pulling force of the anchor drum has been increased from 300KN to 600KN, and the control system has been changed from hydraulic to electric control. The main renovation contents include the dismantling of the original anchor machine, anchor chain, anchor, and hydraulic pump station, installation of new anchor machines, anchor chains, anchors, and steel wire ropes, strengthening of the ship’s structure, replacement and installation of auxiliary components such as cable guides and cable rollers for the anchoring system, procurement and installation of load screens for the main distribution board, procurement and installation of fire doors, ventilation and air conditioning, etc.
“Tiejianqian 01” was originally a semi submersible deck barge with a lifting capacity of 10000 tons, mainly used for loading and transporting large caissons. In order to seize the tide of offshore wind power installation, “Tiejianqian 01” completed its modification work in May 2021 and became a bottom mounted wind power installation vessel, participating in offshore wind turbine installation construction.
After the renovation, “Tiejian Qian01” is equipped with a 600 ton fully rotating main crane and an 80 ton auxiliary crane. The main crane can lift objects weighing about 600 tons while the ship is sitting at the bottom, with a lifting height of up to 143 meters. At the same time, a tooling platform of approximately 1900 square meters is set up above the lifting deck for stacking fan components and assembling fan impellers.
Through this upgrade and renovation, the positioning ability of the bottom mounted wind power installation vessel “Tiejian Qian01” has been further enhanced, the typhoon and wind resistance level has been improved, the stability of the anchor machine has been improved, and the construction area of the vessel has been expanded. This is more conducive to China Railway Construction Port and Navigation Bureau Group Company adapting to the rapid development of offshore wind power, seizing more opportunities in the domestic wind power installation and operation market, and further improving the quality of offshore wind power operation Expanding the offshore wind power market, enhancing industry competitiveness and influence is of great significance.
